Templemore Golf Club.

The next committee meeting is on Thursday 2nd Feb. at 8pm. Sharp.

All committee member are requested to attend and make this a vibrant action meeting.

Fixtures:

The Weekly competition will continue throughout February.

There has been great attendance to this weekly event and all are encouraged to continue playing in this competition.

The Spring League;

The draw has now taken place with great numbers taken part.

A total of 13 teams have now been selected from those that had the early bird entry.

If you are not on the team list, contact Club Captain Martin Bohan 087 0509278 or Club Competition Secretary Liam Leahy 087 4115773 for you to substitute a placing or to create a new team.

Entry fee is €20 Round 1, Holes 1 to 9 extended to 5/ 2 /17 . 4 rounds in total.  Re-entry €2 . Prizes for round winners overall prizes first & second, and winner of division 2 cut after two rounds. Spread the word.

It’s important that each player “supports their team by starting as a full team” as soon as possible so that the competition can be concluded within the next 4 weeks, weather permitting.

Look up who is on your team, from the selection on the notice board.

It’s expressed by the Competition secretary Liam Leahy that all wishing to participate to do so a soon as possible.

 

 “The Nationals”

A range of events encompass County, Regional and National and international Golf tournaments

sponsored by Great Irish Golf will take place at The Heritage Golf Club on Monday 3rd April 2017. Details are on the notice board for teams to take part.

Tell all your friends to take up membership and test their skills on this challenging Golf course.

Course:

The course is progressing well with voluntary work appreciated on the Fairways, Tee Boxes, and Roughs, all getting the first cuttings, and all now looking in good condition for the year ahead.

 

Seniors Report and Results Thurs. 26th. Jan.

Thursday 26th.,  weather was cold but dry and did not deter the gallantry of those that took part in this great event.

The course was in excellent condition, but you had to have your woollies buttoned up.

The Senior teams taking part welcomed the hot cup of tea and sandwiches after playing and Rody Cawley's Kitchen was very much appreciated.

The key contributor in this week’s winning team was Pascal Whelan.

Senior Results.

2nd Team. F. Lysaght, G. Keegan, S. Ryan, J. Stapleton, 44pts.

3rd. Team. S. Bourke, P. Costello, L. Daly, T. Foley, 43pts.

Next Seniors, Thursday 2nd. Feb.

Usual time 10am. for entries to start no later than 10-30am. Fee €5 which include Golf, Tea, Sandwich’s and the banter.

All visitors 55+ are more than welcome.

All Senior Golfers should try this outing, just turn up and you will be put on a team and enjoy an excellent social opportunity to play with likeminded golfers.
