Templemore Golf Club.

All are back to normal after a very successful Captains drive-in.

A great year of golf ahead, so all encouraged by our Captain Martin Bohan to play a much Golf as possible and enjoy this wonderful amenity.

Fixtures:

Weekly competition 20th. Jan to 30th. Jan. Holes 1-9, Green Markers.

There has been great attendance to this ongoing weekly event and all are encouraged to continue in these competitions.

The Spring League is ready to start and the entry list is on the club counter.

The draw for teams will take place on the 30th. Jan.

There are just a few available spaces left, so get your name on the list without delay.

It’s expressed by the Competition secretary Liam Leahy that all wishing to participate to do so a soon as possible.

 

 “The Nationals”

A range of events encompass County, Regional and National and international Golf tournaments

sponsored by Great Irish Golf will take place at The Heritage Golf Club on Monday 3rd April 2017. Details are on the notice board for teams to take part.

The Course:

The course is progressing well under the guidance of Liam Leahy and John Alexandra, both are to be congratulated for their commitment and dedication.

 

Seniors Report and Results Thurs. 19th. Jan.

Thursday weather came good for the 2nd. Outing of 2017.

The winning team combined well, with Pat Costello been the key contributor.

Senior Results.

1st. Team. T. McGrath, P. Costello, J. Stapleton, P. O Connell, 47Pts.

2nd Team. R. Cawley, G. Keegan, M. Connell, 47pts. (On Count Back).

3rd. Team. D. Touhy, J. Gleeson, L. Daly, P. Ryan Snr. 45pts. (on Count Back)

Fixtures;

Next Seniors, Thursday 26th. Jan.

Usual time 10am for entries to start no later than 10-30am. Fee €5 which include Golf, Tea, Sandwich’s and the banter.

All visitors 55+ are more than welcome.

All Senior Golfers should try this outing, it’s a good formula, enjoyable and an excellent social opportunity to play with likeminded golfers.

Golf thought for the week;

A good player who is a great putter is a match for any golfer. A great hitter who cannot putt is a match for no one.
