Templemore Golf Club News;
Congratulations; 3T’s National Qualifiers; Club Captain Tommy Foley, Mary Hayes, Sadie Tynan and Sean Lee, secured 3rd place in the provincial rounds only narrowly pipped by Thurles and Loughrae at Dundrum Golf Club on last Monday 10th. Sept. This Templemore team will now go forward to compete in the National 3T’s at the K Club on the 22nd. October. This is the 16th. Year of this popular 3T’s Golf Tournament, an awareness campaign to highlight the issue of suicide in Ireland at grassroots level. Best of Luck to all.

Sunday 18 Hole Competition Winners: There was a great turn out for Saturday 8th. and Sunday 9th. 18hole Stableford. The Winners were; 1st. Paudie Bourke,, 2nd. Paddy Bourke 3rd. Timmy Tuohy. All members are requested to make a great effort to participate in this week-end Golf competition.
Juvenile Golf Lessons Update; All Juveniles are encouraged by the Club Juvenile Officer Pat O’Connell to continue playing over school breaks. Any information required contact Pat O’Connell 087 9205821.
Course Condition; Thanks to the course manager Liam Leahy and his team and due to new machinery, the course is now in excellent condition and all are encouraged to play at often as possible. Also, members of other clubs are more than welcome to test their skills on this fantastic 9hole golf course that tested the best clubs in Munster.
Green Fee; The Green Fee for 2018 is only €10 for 9hole or 18hole.
Ladies; Bereavement; Nora d’Estelle Roe; Sincere Sympathy is expressed by all club members both Ladies and Gents on the sad passing of Nora d’Estelle Roe on Friday 31st August. Predeceased by her husband Brooke. Deepest sympathy is expressed to her sons George and Brooklyn, sister Breda (Ryan, Holycross), grandchildren and relatives. Nora was a longstanding member of Templemore Golf Club. Nora represented the club on many occasions both at home and away. She was renowned always for giving her best and wit. She was an excellent golfer and always enjoyed her golf. She will be missed by many golf friends. May Nora Rest In Peace.
The Seniors; The Seniors is a fantastic event for retired golfers to return to the game with like-minded golfers. If you are over 55 or retired, from any distance or Club you will be more than welcome. The results are as follows for Thursday, 13th. Sept.; 1st. Speedy Recovery; Seanie Gleeson expressed on behalf of all the seniors for a speedy recovery to Rody Cawley and John Stapleton. Their work is very much appreciated and missed by all.

LMC; Congratulation to Bertie Keane for securing 1st. place in Class 2 at Nenagh Golf Course on 10th. Sept. Well done Bertie after a very successful JB Carr 3rd. National team placing.

50 Years of Golf in Templemore; PJ requested that all members past and present to dig deep and search their achieves for any memorabilia that they can find. Old photos, sayings, and good banter from the past that can be resurrected to make this project successful All will be appreciated and returned as received after the process.
