EGM
Templemore Golf Club Men’s Section will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting EGM on Tuesday 19th December at 8.00pm 2023. This EGM is proposing to ratify a new Constitution for the Club. Why EGM? Presently Templemore Golf Club Constitution is invalid due to the Club’s new legal structure and the long-term lease agreement acquired with the OPW. The new constitution proposes a “One Golf Club Model” Men and Women. This new One Golf Club Model is encouraged by Golf Ireland. The Committee requests all members for feedback amendments to the Constitution available on our web site www.templemoregolfclub.ie [templemoregolfclub.ie] or from any member of the committee.

Short Course;
Dur to the continued inclement weather and to continue playing it was necessary to shorten the course, however a lot of golf was enjoyed by all and especially the seniors. The course was shortened, with temporary mats installed for Tee box’s, this new course layout will continue until the weather becomes more favorable for 18 hole play.
Seniors Golf.
On a Bright and dry day 10 Teams braved the bitter cold to play and the Bon Ami in the clubhouse later really warmed the heart. There scores were good and the 7 holes produced some tight results so in 1st. place on 55 points were John Greed, Pat O’Connell, Colm Dooley and James Murray in 2nd. place on 54 points were Bernie O’Rourke, Paddy Fogarty, John Stapleton and John Egan. and in 3rd. place with 53 points on countback we had Tom McGrath, Mick Murphy, George Collins and Jim Casey. Well played all. And don’t forget on the 14th. Christmas Lunch Place: The Clubhouse. Time: After we finish the seniors golf morning so around 1 to 1:30 pm. Catering: Liz, Green View, will be doing the catering. Dress Code: tails and black tie optional. Cost: €20 (the normal cost of the seniors morning is included if you play, plus entry into the 50/50). Ok now the interactive bit. We need numbers so can we get notification of intent to attend. Lastly as tradition dictates there will be a contributory Raffle so if all that are attending could bring a prize for the raffle it would be most appreciated.
