Annual 50/50 

The annual subscription to the 50/50 has come to an end. So the club wants to offer the same great deal that was offered last year for €100 you get three entries into each fortnightly draw (that’s 26 draws) and for €50 one entry into each fortnightly draw (also 26 draws).  The 50/50 draw was introduced to supplement the machinery that maintains the course in the fantastic condition it is in for you to enjoy your course and your golf. 23rd. Aug.  Our gallant Diageo mixed team were beaten by Roscrea today, well played all thank you for representing our club so well.

 

Men’s Senior Golf.

22nd Aug.  On a day when the strong winds blew in some extra late entry’s that were most welcome and brought the number of teams up to eight. In 1st place with a fantastic 57 points was Bertie Keane, John Mullally, John Stapleton and Phil Ryan Snr. In 2nd place with 54 points Jim Russell, Frankie Shortt, Les Mason and Eoin Wolahan and in 3rd place with 53 points Liam Daly, Tommy Foley, Michael Healy and Jim Hennessy. Great shooting everyone.

President Appreciation.

13th Aug.  A big thank you to all who participated in the presidents prize, also to Pat and Dinny Maher. Everyone remarked on how wonderful the course was. Thanks also to Declan Russell for his assistance. Well done to Declan Kennedy for the photo’s. A massive thanks to Captain Les Mason and Competition Secretary Pat o Connel for the trojan work they do all the time.  Thanks to my wife Trish for the cuppa and tarts.  Congratulations to Jerry  Keegan Jnr. on his well deserved win, and to all the lads who featured this weekend.

Munster Irish Mixed Four Ball.

16th. Aug.  Our magnificent finalists in the Munster Irish Mixed Four Ball had a victory over Tipperary in West Waterford.  We were finally beaten on the 19th. hole by Muskery. Fantastic play by the Templemore team.

Presidents Prize for 2024.

11th.Aug.   An important date on the golf Calander. All went extremely well thanks to the course management team Dinny and Pat and all the volunteers  who put this together to make it a successful event.  When you think of Presidents, names that come to mind Higgins, Washinton, Lincoln, Trump, Kennedy but the most important than our own Tommy Foley.  Tommy is a great servant to Templemore Golf Club, ant a stalworth in organising the volunteers.  The club has gone trough a vibrant period with great success in national competitions and club Developoment especially in the establishing of a management committee  on which president Tommy is a current member involved in the decision of future legacies for the club.  Congratulations tommy.

On a great day from golf the six teams gave it their best and returned some excellent scores. in 1st place with 54 points Liam Leahy, Tony O’Toole and James Murray. In 2nd. place with 51 points were Paudie Butler, Frankie Shortt and Michael Healy and in 3rd. place with 50 points Tom Kenny, Joe Hennessy, and Tommy Deegan great play gentlemen.

 

Juvenile Summer Academy.

Last training session for this season will be this wed 14th. at 10am .  Special thanks to Pro instructor Shane Ryan, Pat O’Connoll organiser and to all those the gave up their time including parents, especially the Juveniles as they were all fantastic.
