Captain Scramble.

18th. Mar.  On a day when the gods smiled on us throughout the rounds, 16 teams joined in the festivities of the deferred Captains Scramble and The Captains and President want to thank all those that turned out to make the day such a success. The day was topped off when we returned to the club house for some excellent Tea, food and comradery thank you to the ladies that supplied all of these in spades.  It was a close run result being only .3 of a shot between the first three teams: In 1st. place with a net score of 28.8 was Kathleen Maher, Eamon Connolly and Bernie O’Rourke. 2nd.  with a net score of 28.9 was Tom McGrath, Cian Langdon and Evelyn Lyons and in a very close 3rd. covering the 9 holes in a net 29.1 where Ollie Murray, Pat Shelly and our Skipper Caroline Fogarty.  A sincere appreciation to the wonderful Course team for getting the course playable although still suffering from the persistent wet weather it looked and played great.  Thanks again to all that contributed to the day.  Women’s Captain Caroline, President Tommy and Captain Les Mason.

A huge thank you to all the people who turned up last night. Our quiz was a huge success. Many thanks to the people who couldn’t attend, but still made a financial contribution, very much appreciated

We had great support from Businesses around templemore in the form of sponsorship. We’ll list these in the coming days. Tony, Trish, Pat,and Les played a blinder last night also. The Star of the show of course was Rody. Had anybody from RTE seen him in action, he’d be a shoe in for the late late show.

Thank you for that Mr President most eloquently put.  And buoyed by the enthusiasm last night the lady Captain Caroline, President Tommy and myself would like to run the scramble that we were not able to run on the Captaind Drive-In day. So we will run a three person team scramble on Bank Holiday Monday 18th March.
