Captain Scramble.
18th. Mar. On a day when the gods smiled on us throughout the rounds, 16 teams joined in the festivities of the deferred Captains Scramble and The Captains and President want to thank all those that turned out to make the day such a success. The day was topped off when we returned to the club house for some excellent Tea, food and comradery thank you to the ladies that supplied all of these in spades. It was a close run result being only .3 of a shot between the first three teams: In 1st. place with a net score of 28.8 was Kathleen Maher, Eamon Connolly and Bernie O’Rourke. 2nd. with a net score of 28.9 was Tom McGrath, Cian Langdon and Evelyn Lyons and in a very close 3rd. covering the 9 holes in a net 29.1 where Ollie Murray, Pat Shelly and our Skipper Caroline Fogarty. A sincere appreciation to the wonderful Course team for getting the course playable although still suffering from the persistent wet weather it looked and played great. Seniors Golf.
21st. Mar. After a grand morning in Templemore the top three from the seven teams that took to the course are: In 1st. place with a very good 61 points was Ollie Murray, Liam Daly and Colm Dooley, followed closely in 2nd. place with 60 points was Eamon Connolly, John Kirwan, George Collins and Jim Casey. The 3rd. place team with 58 points was Bernie O’Rourke, Paddy Bourke, Les Mason and Mick Maher. Great play and a very good turnout for scones and chat afterwards.

Update; We will be running a Spring League over the next few weeks. Names by 6 pm on Friday 29th. We can then make a draw for teams. Entry will be €20 with 4 rounds to be played.
