From the opening tee shots to the final putts, the visitors displayed composure, resilience and some outstanding golf to secure a deserved victory.

The match was closely contested throughout, with several pairings involved in hard-fought encounters. However, Templemore’s strength in depth and positive attitude proved decisive as they claimed the points needed to advance.

The result reflects the tremendous commitment shown by the ladies panel all season. Their support for one another and willingness to battle for every hole were evident once again, and the victory is a fitting reward for the hard work that has been put in both on and off the course.  Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic team effort and best wishes as they look forward to the next stage of the competition.  Templemore Golf Club congratulates the Revive Active ladies team on a superb win over Tipperary Town and wishes them every success in the rounds ahead.

Summer Camp Juveniles Academy.

The future of Templemore Golf Club is in very safe hands following another successful morning of junior coaching and development at the club.  Managed by Paddy Bane, assisted by Pro. Shane Ryan conducted a series of junior lessons from 10am to 12 noon, while ladies’ coaching continued from 12 noon to 1pm. Shane delivered two excellent one-hour sessions, working with both the Under-12 group and the 12-16 age category. The enthusiasm, energy and willingness to learn shown by all the young golfers was a credit to themselves and their families.  Beyond teaching the fundamentals of the game, these sessions are helping to nurture the next generation of Templemore Golf Club members and team players. Every lesson helps build confidence, sportsmanship, discipline and a lifelong appreciation for golf. The friendships being formed and the skills being developed today will undoubtedly contribute to the club’s future success for many years to come.  It is particularly encouraging to see so many young boys and girls embracing the sport and enjoying their time on the course. Programmes such as the Summer Camp Academy provide the perfect pathway for young golfers to progress from beginners to juvenile competitors and, ultimately, to representing Templemore Golf Club in inter-club competitions.  The club is extremely grateful to Paddy, Shane and all the volunteers who continue to invest their time and expertise in developing our young members. Their efforts are laying the foundations for a bright future, ensuring that Templemore Golf Club remains strong, vibrant and competitive for generations to come.  Today’s junior golfers are tomorrow’s team captains, committee members and club champions. The future of Templemore Golf Club is standing on the practice tee today.

Lady Captain’s Prize 2026

11/7. Lady Captain Michelle Hassett’s Captain’s Prize was played over two wonderful days in July, culminating on Saturday, 11th July. The event was a tremendous success, with a fantastic turnout of players who came together to support Michelle on this very special occasion.  Michelle was a gracious and welcoming host throughout the competition, and the large entry reflected the respect and appreciation in which she is held by the membership. Her dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to Templemore Golf Club throughout her captaincy have been greatly valued and were evident in the success of the event.  The prize presentation took place in the clubhouse on Saturday evening, sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make the occasion such a memorable and enjoyable celebration.  Appreciation to all the competitors for their support and participation over the two days. Tributes to the course management and grounds staff for presenting the course in excellent condition, providing golfers with a superb playing surface throughout the competition and to the many volunteers whose hard work behind the scenes ensured that every aspect of the event ran smoothly. particularly acknowledgment to the Ladies Committee and all the lady members for their tremendous assistance, encouragement and support in the lead-up to and during the event.  Reflecting on the occasion, Michelle can be deeply appreciative of the friendship, generosity and goodwill shown to her by members and guests alike. Men’s 18 Hole Stroke Play Competition.

4/5/July.   1st. John Galvin, 2nd.  Pat O’Connell,  3rd.   Liam Leahy,   All score can be viewed on Master Score Bord via the Club Web Site.  The club would like to thank all members who participated in this important 18-Hole Stroke Play competition. While every competition is an enjoyable opportunity to test your golfing skills, Stroke Play events are particularly significant as they play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the World Handicap System.  A golfer’s handicap is only as reliable as the scores returned during qualifying competitions. By taking part in Stroke Play events and submitting scores, members help ensure that their handicap accurately reflects their current playing ability. This is important not only for club competitions but also when representing the club in inter-club matches and open competitions at other courses.  An accurate handicap creates a fair and enjoyable playing environment for everyone. It ensures that competitions are contested on a level playing field and allows golfers to measure their progress throughout the season. Regular participation in Stroke Play competitions is therefore a responsibility shared by all members, benefiting both the individual golfer and the club as a whole.  The committee encourages all members to support future Stroke Play competitions whenever possible. Your participation helps maintain a fair handicap system, strengthens competition within the club, and ensures that every player has a true reflection of their golfing ability.  Congratulations once again to our prize winners, John Galvin, Pat O’Connell and Liam Leahy, and sincere thanks to everyone who took part and contributed to another successful weekend of competitive golf at Templemore Golf Club.

8/Jul.  Templemore’s Boyne Trophy team travelled to take on Gowran Golf Club, with two matches played at home and three away. Representing your club requires both physical and mental endurance, and the team displayed these qualities in abundance throughout the match.  While the result did not fall in Templemore’s favour, the ladies represented the club with distinction, sportsmanship and pride. Their willingness to give their all for the club, both at home and away, is greatly appreciated and serves as an example to all members.  The club sincerely thanks the entire panel and management team for their commitment to the Boyne Trophy campaign. Although qualification for the next round was agonisingly close, the ladies can hold their heads high knowing they left nothing behind and were extremely unlucky not to progress.  Well done to all involved on a magnificent effort and for being such excellent ambassadors for Templemore Golf Club.
