Bereavement.

9/10. The members of Templemore Golf Club were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former Lady Captain and Lady President, Aggie Tobin.  Aggie was a hugely popular and respected member of the club, renowned for her competitive spirit, love of golf and dedication to Templemore Golf Club over many years. Her warm personality, wonderful sense of humour and encouraging nature made her a valued friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As a mark of respect, a guard of honour was formed by club members at the church entrance, while the golf course was closed during the Funeral Mass and reopened at 1.00 p.m.  The club extends its sincere sympathies to her husband Jim, a past member of the club, and to the extended Tobin and Fogarty families at this difficult time.  After a long illness, Aggie bore her burden with great courage and dignity. Her friendship, kindness and contribution to club life will be fondly remembered by all.  May Aggie Rest in Peace.
