ANOTHER LADIES MUNSTER TITLE FOR TEMPLEMORE.

18/10.  Following last week’s memorable Ann Heskin Trophy Munster Final success, the remarkable Templemore Golf Club ladies have done it again. The club’s Revive Active Team produced another outstanding performance to capture the Revive Active Munster Championship at Cahir Park Golf Club on 18th. October.  In what proved to be a thrilling and hard-fought final against a strong Dooks Golf Club side, the Templemore players showed tremendous determination, resilience and team spirit. With matches ebbing and flowing right to the final putts, it was truly edge-of-the-seat golf from start to finish.  This latest provincial success is a tremendous achievement, not only for the players involved but for Templemore Golf Club as a whole. To win one Munster title in a season is a notable accomplishment, but to secure two Munster championships in successive weeks highlights the strength, depth and dedication of the club’s ladies section.  The Revive Active team have been exceptional ambassadors for Templemore Golf Club throughout their campaign, displaying great commitment, sportsmanship and competitive spirit. Their victory is richly deserved and is the reward for months of hard work, practice and teamwork.

Bereavement.

9/10. The members of Templemore Golf Club were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former Lady Captain and Lady President, Aggie Tobin.  Aggie was a hugely popular and respected member of the club, renowned for her competitive spirit, love of golf and dedication to Templemore Golf Club over many years. Her warm personality, wonderful sense of humour and encouraging nature made her a valued friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As a mark of respect, a guard of honour was formed by club members at the church entrance, while the golf course was closed during the Funeral Mass and reopened at 1.00 p.m.  The club extends its sincere sympathies to her husband Jim, a past member of the club, and to the extended Tobin and Fogarty families at this difficult time.  After a long illness, Aggie bore her burden with great courage and dignity.
