Bereavement;  Deepest Sympathy are expressed from all the club members to PJ and Liam Leahy on the passing of their brother John and to all of the Leahy Family.  Burial on 8th. April in the Granardkill Old Cemetery, Longford.  “May he rest in peace”.

The Country Clubs V Lismore is on Saturday 22nd. April 2016. Venue; Donaraile Golf Club, Cork.

Practice arranged for Wednesday 12th. at 2pm.

Sunday Time Sheet;  Sunday time sheet is now in operation and all players are requested to select their times and enter it on the timesheet to avoid hold up in play.

The Spring League;

The Spring League this year was a major success with almost 600 cards entered.  The results will be posted on the Club House Notice Board soon.

An appreciation to all who took part and braved the elements to make this event a great success.  Well done to all.

Golfer of the Year;  Reminder; Increase your “Golfer of the Year” points by participating in all competitions throughout the year.

This structure was designed to keep the “Golfer of The Year” competition competitive, right up to the end.

Templemore Golf Club Customised Gear;  A great selection of Club Jumpers and Tee Shirts with the Club Logo on them are now on display and available with John Mullaly.

“Templemore Lions Club in association with Templemore Golf Club”  are collecting unwanted Golf Clubs for the “Templemore Juvenile Golf Development Project”  If you want to donate to this very worthwhile project, please contact any member of the Lions Club or The Templemore Golf Club Juvenile Officer, Pat O’Connell; 087 9205821 or just leave them into the Golf Club with a label on them. This is a great opportunity to help young people to become active in the great sport of Golf.  Have a look into your old Golf Bags/closet, and it doesn’t matter what condition the clubs are in, they will all be appreciated.

Miscellaneous Events;

Templemore Golf Twinning in Italy.

Sat. 9th. Sept. Reminder “Twin Town Cup”  Competition between Templemore and 2 Twin Towns from France and Italy.  This is a great event in profiling our club to been vibrant and active and also a return visit from the away clubs to Templemore to sample Templemore Golf Club hospitality.  If you have any difficulty in making arrangements, or for more information, contact Club Captain Martin Bohan 087-05092 or Club Treasurer Tom McGrath 087-4132691.  All details will be on the Club House notice board.

Junior Golf;

All Juniors interested in taking up golf or improving their golf should contact Pat O’Connell, 087-9205821.  There will golf sessions during Easter Holidays and others holidays in the year, so arrange with Pat as soon as possible your interest in Golf.  Clubs will be made available for those that do not have any so avail of this opportunity to start your interest in this great game “Golf”.

New Members;

Registrations Forms for new members are now available on line on our new web site, or at the club house or contact Martin Bohan 087 0509278.  All are welcome.

New members are the lifeline of the club, so all existing members are encouraged to tell all your friends to take up membership and test their skills on this challenging Golf course.

The Golf Course:

The course is as always progressing well under the guidance of Course Manager Liam Leahy and our Green Keeper John Alexandre Also with the team of voluntary workers which is always appreciated in profiling the club amenities.

Volunteers;

URGENT;Adopt a Bunker” Spring is now in the air and all Bunkers are now in need of attention. All members are requested to “Adopt a Bunker” and to continue looking after your bunker for the season.  All volunteers are welcome, just check in with Liam Leahy, Course Manager, 087 4115773  to offer our skills that will make improvements i.e. Grass Cutting, Bunker Raking, Strimming, Carpentry, Maintenance or others or just turn up at your own convenience with a rake or a strimmer.   All will be appreciated.

Seniors Report and Results Thurs. 6th. April.

A great turn out again for this event and the weather was in favour of the players.

The results are as follows;  1st. Team;  George Collins, W Haverty, Frank Shortt, Michael Maher.  2nd. Team;  Denny Toohey, Seamus Ryan, John Stapleton.  3rd. Team; Tom Harris, Ray Maher, Pascal Whelan, Seanie Gleeson.

New Seniors Members;

All Senior Golfers and visiting Golfers 55+ are more than welcome to enjoy an excellent social opportunity to play this game with likeminded golfers.

Next Seniors, Thursday 13th  April.

Usual time 10am. for entries to start no later than 10-30am. Fee €5 which include Golf, Tea, Sandwich’s and the banter.

LMC Fixtures. Roscrea, 10/4.  Birr, 24/4.  Templemore on Saturday 22nd. JulyApril. All LMC fixtures ore on the notice Board in Club House or the LMC web site..
