Club Captain appreciation:

A huge thank you to all the people who turned up last night. Our quiz was a huge success. Many thanks to the people who couldn’t attend, but still made a financial contribution, very much appreciated

We had great support from Businesses around templemore in the form of sponsorship. We’ll list these in the coming days. Tony, Trish, Pat,and Les played a blinder last night also. The Star of the show of course was Rody. Had anybody from RTE seen him in action, he’d be a shoe in for the late late show.

Again well done to all the teams congratulations to the winners and runner’s up. A huge thanks also to MURPHYS staff and management for hosting our function.

Club Captain Les Mason Appreciation:

Thank you for that Mr President most eloquently put.  And buoyed by the enthusiasm last night the lady Captain Caroline, President Tommy and myself would like to run the scramble that we were not able to run on the Captaind Drive-In day. So we will run a three person team scramble on Bank Holiday Monday 18th March. So if you would like to partake names on this WhatsApp by 6pm on Friday 15th March to allow us to do the draw and publish please. Of course this is a mixed event so come one come all. I will put a sheet up in both locker rooms to take names from those Electronically challenged.

Men’s Seniors.

On a great day for golf when the sun warmed our backs for once there was good steady scoring from the Eight teams with only two points separating five of those teams. But the cream of the crop are 1st with 63 points is Jim Gleeson, Mick Murphy, Tom Kenny and Quizmaster Rody Crawly

In 2nd Place on 62 points Donal Golden, Pat O’Connell, Jim Casey and Jim Middleton. In 3rd place on 60 points Mick Carey, Elbie Egan, John Egan and James Murray.

Great comradery was had for the refreshments after the round, and as alluded to in the results don’t forget the Club Quiz night tomorrow Friday 8th February in Murphy’s from 8:30 pm with one of the winning team Rody leading the night.

Look forward to seeing you there, Well done all
