Annual Club Classic.
14/9. Our club classic took place last weekend Friday 12th, Saturday 13th. and Sunday 14th. of Sept. The weather was very inclement but did not deter the faithful from braving the elements with some blue sky at times. The course was in super professional PGA standard thanks to Green keepers Dinny Maher and Pat Shelly a thousand thanks. The club thanks all who took to the fairways and supported the classic to raise funds for development essential projects that will give sustainability to the future of the club. The classic support by our sponsors, we much appreciate their continued generous sponsorship. A sincere thank you to all the volunteers for making the Annual Golf Classic memorable an successful day. 11/9. 8 teams showed determination and as much True Grit as John Wayne to play through all that the elements threw at them and one team turned in an exceptional score. In 1st. place with an amazing 57 points, Bertie Keane, John Stapleton, George Collins and James Murray , 2nd. Team, with 52 points was Bernie O’Rourke, Tom Kenny, Tommy Foley and Michael Maher. Finally in 3rd place on 51 points was Pat Looby, John Egan and Mick Murphy. Well played Gentleman.
