Fred Perry Trophy.

16th June.  Congratulations to Liam Leahy and the Perry team on a sweet victory against Cahir in their home ground. They now meet Thurles in the next round.

 

Social Mixed.

14th. June.  Sunshine weather was on the cards and created great scoring and the support was great.  The winners were 1st. team. Mary Butler, Paddy Fogarty Oliver Murray.  2nd Team. Jerome Ryan, Lorcan O’Reilly, Ann Hogg.  The social mixed takes place every Wednesday evening.  Draw times 6 + 6.30.  Entry £5, Cuppa and refreshments upstairs afterwards. Please support.

 

Golf Club Café “GreenView”

“GreenView” Is now the captured name for  “Liz’s Café” which opened its service upstairs in the club house.  Liz and her staff are to be congratulated for their efforts in delivering a 1st rate service to all who visit the club.  The Spaghetti Bolognese was fantastic.  This service is also available to everyone.  Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays 10am to 5pm. Sundays 10am to 4pm. Please support.

 

Women’s Golf Competitions.

13th. June.  18 Hole Stableford.  1st. Breda O’Connell, 2nd. Margaret Buckley, 3rd. Bridget Gleeson.

 

Women’s Boyne Trophy

17th. June. Templemore defeated Abbeyleix in the2nd. round of Boyne Trophy competition.  Congratulations and well done to all.  The BOYNE TROPHY competition was the brainchild of esteemed Gretta Foran in 1994, designed to cater for the “over 50’s” Women.  It has progressed to be one of the most fiercely contested competitions in the midlands and surrounding areas. Teams consist of five pairs of ladies who compete under fourball match play rules.  The semi-final and final days are hosted by Edenderry Golf Club.

 

Seniors Golf.

15th. June.  On a sizzling day for golf the scoring was not reflective of this.  In first place with 51 points John Greed, Paddy Fogarty, Colm Dooley and John Egan. Then followed three teams on 50 points. In Second on countback John Kirwan, Pat Maher, Christie O’Rourke and James Murray and in third again on countback Liam Daly, Mick Murphy, Michael Healy and Tom Ryan. A good turn out supporting Liz’s Café afterwards was the finish to a great morning thanks you all.

 

Final Notice, Fees for 2023 need to be paid if one wants remain a member and remain on the Club WhatsApp News.
