20th. Oct.  The results for the 18 hole V-Par competition for the 18th, 19th & 20th October. 1st. with 3 up against the course was John Kiely well played all.

 

Autumn League.

  1. Oct. The Autumn League supported by one of our sponsors, Sola Energy Solutions will run until the 3rd. November.

 

Men’s Seniors.

17th. Oct.   On a brilliant sunny Autumn day for our seniors on the Templemore Golf Course and the Seven Teams golf reflected the conditions. In 1st. place with 57 points was Jim Russell, Les Mason, John Stapleton and Phil Ryan Snr. In 2nd. place on Count Back with 54 Points Ollie Murray, Liam Daly, Jerry O’Dwyer and Michael Maher. In 3rd. place also on 54 points Michael Purcell, Frankie Shortt and Michael Healy.   Great shooting Lads.

24th. Oct.   On a day when wigs had to be nailed on the seven teams leaned into the wind and ventured out for the seniors usual Thursday escapades. In 1st. place with 51 points were Jim Russell, Ambrose Purcell, Les Mason and James Murray. In 2nd. place on countback  with 50 points were Seamus Bourke, Frankie Shortt and John Stapleton and in 3rd. place on 50 points also on countback were Michael Purcell, Tom Kenny, Tom Ryan and George Collins well played all.

 

Women’s Golf.

Sports Capital Grant Drainage Scheme.

2nd. Oct.  The drainage work continues on the 6th fairway and as you can see it should be of great benefit to the drainage of our course. And facilitate longer playing perion during the winter.   We would request that all golfers please refrain from entering any area closed for work for Health & Safety reasons. Nation Brest Cancer Fundraiser.

Men’s Seniors away Golf.

1st. Oct.  Away Outing.  On a lovely day for golf, 9 teams took part on the Trip to Tipp. 1st. 101 pts, Bernie O Rourke, Tom Ryan, Colm Dooley, and Tommy Foley.  2nd 99 pts, Liam Daly, Jim Russell, Joe Hennessy, and Jerry O Dwyer. 3rd. 97 pts, Sean Cashman, Pat O Connell, Martin Mullally, and Shay O Connell. Men’s seniors Home Golf.

3rd. Oct.  On a clear and pleasant October Morning the 6 teams wandered out on a course in transition for an eight hole spree. The teams played well and returned good scores in 1st. place on count back with 51 points were Bertie Keane, Tommy Foley and Seanie Gleeson also on 51 points in 2nd were John Galvin, Jerry O’Dwyer, Phil Ryan Snr and James Murray in 3rd place on 46 points were Sean Cashman, Tony O’Toole, George Collins and Eoin Wolahan.
