2nd Photo; Templemore Golf Club Seamus Bourke in the Fred Perry matched against the great Eamonn Grimes, Limerick, who won one All-Ireland medal, four Munster medals, one National Hurling League medal and two All-Star awards. , Grimes Captained Limerick to an All-Ireland title in 1973. Templemore won the match.

Club Classic; The Club Fundraising Classic will commence on Wed. Sept.11th to Sunday Sept. 15th. €100 per team of 4. All clubs in the region will be more than welcome, and also all organising that want to field a team for this great cause in providing more equipment for this great amenity in Templemore to secure its future for the up and coming Cadets that they will have the best facilities for furthering their careers in this great game of Golf.

Seniors Golf; Today’s Seniors results. Excellent turnout after all the rain yesterday. In 1st. place with 48pt. on a count back, Joe O’CONNOR, Seamus Ryan, Pat O Connell & John Mullally. 2nd. with 48pt. Eddie Butler, George Murray, Tom Hogan, & Pascal Whelan. 3rd. place with 47pts. were Liam Daly, PJ Leahy, Pat Cowan, and Paddy Nolan.
Our next away outing will be on Monday 2nd. Sept. in Thurles golf club. Tee box 10am.
“Cadets” ; The Cadets are still growing in numbers. You can join the Cadets anytime from the age of 8 to 15 Boys and Girls and Cadet youths Age 15 to 18 Boys and Girls. All members who have a junior family member that has an interest in Golf should encourage them to call in on Wed and Friday’s. If new to the game, clubs will be made available to those that do not have them. This is an opportunity to build members for the future of the Club. All training will be in association with CGI (Confederation of Golf Ireland) guidelines and will continue throughout the year. Do your best to promote this venture. Cadet Training; Another great productive turnout on Wed.21st and Fri. 23rd. Most Cadets have now received their start Kits supplied by CGI (Confederation of Golf Ireland). Well done to all. Training will continue, on Saturdays only at 1 o’clock to facilitate other sport activities times. Commencing this Sat. 31st. Aug. Thanks for all the support from parents and volunteers and look forward to continuing throughout the year.m
Social Mix; A great turn out of Ladies and Gents. This is a fantastic event for all Youth Cadets to take part as the mix will bring great competition experience to beginner golfers. The winners for Wed.14th. were; 1st. Team, Joe Fitzpatrick, Breda Murphy, Declan Russell, Kieran Molloy (Garda College). 2nd Team; Kevin Fitzpatrick, Seamus Bourke, Silvio Bondila (Garda College), Joe O’Connor.
Ladies; Our “Boyne Trophy” team in Edenderry went to the wire in the Semi Finals after victory over the K-Club in the Quarter finals , the Cavan Ladies battled steadfast to take the Semi Final Title from Templemore. Howth and Cavan are now into the final on 26th Aug, Next year Templemore Ladies will be there again no doubt. Ladies Boyne Trophy semifinal Team. Mary Ryan /Anna O Rourke, Mary Hayses/ Margie Costigan, Josie Bourke /Maryanne Maher, Mary Fitzpatrick/ Shilia Delaney, Bernie Stapleton/ Sadie Tynan. They done us proud, well done Ladies.
