What a wonderful achievement and a brilliant champagne success for everyone involved. This victory is the fitting conclusion to a fantastic journey. The commitment, determination and team spirit shown throughout the campaign have been tremendous, and today’s result is a richly deserved reward. Congratulations to Padraig Moloney

Everyone at Templemore Golf Club extends warm congratulations to Padraig Moloney on his outstanding achievement in finishing runner-up in the Men’s Section of the All Ireland Captains’ Prize Winners Competition 2026 at Roscrea Golf Club, returning an excellent score of 40 Stableford points against a top-class field of 2026 Captain’s Prize winners from clubs throughout Ireland. Narrowly beaten on one point by Winner, Pat Cody 41 points, Ballymoney GC. Padraig’s success comes as no surprise to those who know his dedication and commitment to the game. A former Club Captain in 2005, he has been a tremendous ambassador for Templemore Golf Club both on and off the course for many years. His victory in the 2026 John Greed Captain’s Prize was another fitting milestone in a golfing career marked by consistency, sportsmanship. Padraig’s achievement in Roscrea is a source of great pride for everyone at Templemore Golf Club. We congratulate him on a superb performance. Well done Padraig.

17/9. It was a day of showers and sun but it is September and as someone said we could have got wetter. So the spirits of the ten teams were not too damp by the end. In 1st. place with 55 points were Bernard Barry, Frankie Shortt, Phil Ryan Snr. and Christy O’Rourke. In 2nd. place with 53 points were Pat O’Connell, Paddy Fogarty, Tony O’Toole and Martin Mullally. In 3rd. Place with 51points we had Sean Cashman, Tommy Foley, John Russell and Mick Maher. Well played all.
