President Rody Cawley.

27th. Aug. After a fantastic week end of golf, President Rody Cawley gave great praise to the ground crew Dinny Maher and Pay Shelly for the fantastic condition of the course which is second to none.  Also complements to all who took part, it was and exceptional and possible a record attendance.  Complements also to the competition team Les Mason, Sean Lee, Pat O’Connell and Mick Kealy for their due diligence on achieving a successful smooth running of the competition.  A big thanks to all the sponsors which are always very much appreciated. Also to all the ladies who designed the prize table presentation a big tank you to all.  President Rody then complemented all the club members for making this club a very success club and with no doubt one of the best 9 hole (18hole) golf courses in the country.  The presentation night was a fantastic success when the Men’s County Club winning team entered the room hailing the Silver Cup a wonder occasion.  President Rody then nominated his successor for 2024 President Tommy Foley.

27th Aug.  A great win by a great and outstanding golfer who represented the club on many occasions over the years, Joe Fahy. Other winners, 2nd. Jack O’Shea, 3rd, Bertie Keane, 4th, Eamonn Connelly, 5th. Jim Ryan, 6th. Donal Hayes, 7th, Padraig Moloney.   Well Done all.

Mens Country Club Munster Champions.

27th. Aug.  A marathon competition of Golf.  They had to play 2 games in one day in Lismore Winning both.   It was by all means a very successful day for the team and the club to win a Munster Golf Ireland Competition which tested the skills, determination, and physical effort by all.  The team, Tom McGrath, Sean Cashman, Seamus Bourke, Michael Purcell, Bertie Keane, Dinny Touhy, and Declan Russell.  A great achievement.

Heineken Diageo Mixed.

27th.  Congratulation to the Mixed Team who competed in Roscrea V Tipperary Town and was narrowly defeated on the 18th. hole on the final match but achieve the Silver Medal.  The Team. Ciaran Hassett, Michelle Hassett, Padragh Moloney, Josie Bourke, Dinny Maher, Mary Fitzpatrick, Timmy Touhy, Loraine Ryan, Declan Kennedy, Clare Fitzpatrick.

 

Seamus Cody Cup.

13th. Aug.   After a very successful Match Play competition over several weeks ,the overall winner, a loyal club member and deserving winner Mick Carey.   Seamus Cody would be delighted as mick always made himself available for work on the development of the course over the years.

 

Seniors Golf.

24th. Aug.  Our President, Rody Cawley formed part of one of the nine teams that took to the field on a great day for golf and again there was only six points covering these teams. In 1st. place with 55 points were John Greed, Tom Kenny, Willie Haverty and Rody Cawley. In 2nd. place with 54 points Sean Cashman, Mick Murphy, Tom Hogan and Tommy Deegan. Finally the 3rd. place team with 53 points Brendan Russell, Pat O’Connell, Christie O’Rourke and Mick Maher. It was a fantastic event.  And hearing from Rody at the end rounded the morning off really well.

 

President Social Mixed.

23rd. Aug.  A fantastic turn out for the popular President Rody Cawley created a great atmosphere and great golf.  The winners were, Social Mixed
