The Captains Drive-In;

Monday 3rd. marked a significand day in the history of state independence.  It is equally significant that Templemore Golf Club celebrates the Captains Drive-in on what was a very blustery inclement day for golf.  However the occasion was marked by our Club Captain Dinny Maher a renowned champion golfer and very deserving of the position,  Also on the Tee Box are Club President Bertie Keane, Lady Captain Marion Keely and Lady President Josie Moloney, all renowned competitive golfers.  Blessing were performed by Fr. Dominic.   This year marks the historic occasion the 50th Anniversary of the club, founded in Sept. 1971.   Also, a historical upcoming event, “autonomy independence” for the Club going forward into the future.  Without doubt, a fantastic future ahead for the Club.

Club Captain Dinny Maher expressed that the accolades from both far and wide could not have happened without the hard work and enthusiastic voluntary help from both the Ladies and Men’s committee, club members and sponsors.  He expressed a special thanks to all and to the future of the club and a very welcome to all the new members and for all to Stay Safe and to enjoy golfing at Templemore Golf Club and to complying with the Covid-19 guidelines.
