Coronavirus Message; Captain Tom McGrath wishes everyone a safe a healthy passage through this unprecedented time in our lives and history. The guidelines for playing golf are posted in the locker room and all should adhere to these guidelines that will create confidence in players to continue with their golf as a fantastic outdoor exercise and showing respect to colleague player.
Spring League; The spring League is now in full swing, The course is in great readiness by John Alexandra for the enthusiastic Golfers to show their rested skills which should be a great competition. The competition will start on the Monday 16th Mar. it will be over 4 weeks. W1; 16th. to 29th. Mar. W2; 23rd. to 5th. April. W3; 30th. Mar. to 12th. April. Final Week, W4; 6th. April to 19th. April. Cadet Golf Training; The Cadet Golf training will commence during Easter week. (Mid April) Dates to be confirmed. It’s Time to check out your Golf Kit. Those who do not have golf clubs will be provided.
Seniors Notice on the Coronavirus. Notice to all our Senior members. The committee decide to continue with our Thursday morning golf with one small change. Because of the Coronavirus No tea or coffee or goodies will be served in the clubhouse. Instead each player will receive a goodie bag before start of play. The entry fee will continue to be the same €5. Looking forward to seeing all on Thursday PJ.
Seniors Results for Thursday 12th. The results of today’s seniors competition. The Gods were looking down on us with the weather just about holding off. The winners were with 49pts. Declan Russell, Joe Hennessey, Tom Kennedy, and Pascal Whelan. 2nd. with 46pt. Tom McGrath, Michael Healy, and Pat O Connell. 3rd,. with 43pts. Joe O’Connor, Philip Ryan, and Ollie Murray.

Special Fees for 2020. There is a “Special Rate” for beginners which is guaranteed not to change for 3 years. This is very attractive for anyone new interested in joining and for those purchasing vouchers to give a life changing experience to someone. New members are now been accepted. All current members are encouraged to introduce at least “ONE NEW MEMBER” Lady or Gent, Junior or Student, Seniors Juveniles and Family, Active Retiree’s, Special Needs or any person interested in taking up the sport. It will be a huge advantage to building the club membership and profile especially now that the club will have its own autonomy.
“Cadets Membership 2020” ; You can join the Golf Cadets anytime from the age of 8 to 13 Boys and Girls and Cadet youths Age 14 to 18 Boys and Girls. All members who have a junior family member that has an interest in Golf should encourage them to join. If new to the game, clubs will be made available to those that do not have them. This is an opportunity to build members for the future of the Club. All training will be in association with CGI (Confederation of Golf Ireland) guidelines and will continue throughout the year. A fantastic Welcome back to Lapsed Members for 2020; A special rate for “Lapsed Members” will continue throughout the year. A “welcomed back” once-off, special rate for Gents €200 and Ladies €170.
