Doonbeg Social Competition.

There is great appreciation to Tommy Foley and his team in organising this Social Golf Day for the members of Templemore Golf Club in Doonbeg.  Tommy expressed thanks to Tom and Kevin Kenny for their help. Special thanks also to John Stapelton for his assistance.  The results were. 4th. Matty Stapleton, 3rd. Bertie Keane, 2nd. Paudie Butler, and in first place, Ger Clifford.  Presentation of prizes at the club house in Templemore.

 

Competition Results.

A good turnout for the first 18 hole of the season. 1st. Ned Walsh 41 points.  2nd.  Cathal Leahy 40 points on count back.

3rd.  Keith Morris 40 points.

 

Club membership Fees.

Membership is now due. No fee means no entry to club competitions going forward, Master Score Board for Tee Bookings and Members WhatsApp.

Advance Notice;  JK Bracken’s Golf Classic.  (Dates Changed)  Classic has been moved from 3rd.& 4th, of June to 10th. & 11th. June.  Course will be closed to members on Friday 10th. and Saturday 11th. June.

 

Golf is for Everyone’

Unfortunately, due to the continuous inclement weather resulting in intermitting closures of the course it was not possible to continue with competitions. As soon as possible all competitions will be back to normal.

“Golf is a game for everyone – for enjoyment, for health, for life”, is the Vision of the Strategic Plan, with five focus areas set out throughout the Strategy.  The 2022 Golf Ireland schedule will see increased opportunities for men, women, boys and girls to compete together in National Championships.

28th. April.  We had 7 teams out on a lovely sunny morning for golf. 1st. 60 pts. Paudie Butler, Jim Gleeson, Tom Hogan, Paddy Nolan.  2nd. on a count back 53 pts. Seamus Bourke, Ollie Murray, Joe Hennessy, Philly Bourke. 3rd. 53 pts. Donal Golden, Pat O Connell, Pat Maher.
